International Baccalaureate (IB) Program

The Fairmont High School IB Program demands the best of students. The IB program is not for everyone, but in the Fairmont spirit, IB classes are open to all. Fairmont is 1 of 18 IB programs in the State of Ohio. Students leave IB ready to thrive in college and graduate level studies.

Students leave the IB program as critical thinkers, excellent writers, driven learners, and with the grit necessary to create change in the world. Creativity and Service are major components of the IB program. Students must complete three core components (Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and CAS [Creativity, Activity, Service]).

Our Pride

“Last year I was in Hope Squad. It’s built around preventing suicide. It really helped me see things from different perspectives. With all the mental health things with the last year, we did things like Hope Week to try and help people become more aware.”
